Jun Young Kang is a dedicated FX Artist and 3D visualizer focused on crafting immersive environments and dynamic, high-fidelity simulations. Currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Animation & Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University, his expertise bridges procedural generation and cinematic visual effects.
He specializes in building complex Houdini simulations, with a strong focus on Particle Systems (POP) and Pyro. By leveraging advanced VEX, VOPs, and FLIP solvers, Jun excels at generating detailed procedural setups. His pipeline also utilizes Cinema4D, Octane Render, and After Effects for motion graphics, alongside occasional audio composition.
Jun has contributed to feature films and studio production as a dynamics artist and compositor, delivering complex smoke simulations, procedural modeling, and environment creation. He has also managed complex interactive simulation tasks in a studio setting and previously worked as a graphic designer for entrepreneurial ventures. Presently, he is deeply engaged in simulating organic life, focusing his recent work on intricate vegetation and plant growth systems.
